What's Good for the Goose is Good for the Gander

"What's good for the goose is good for the gander" surely must apply to Hillary Clinton and Jason Brezler meaning that what's good for Hillary Clinton surely also must be good for U.S. Marine Corps Major Jason Brezler. (Jul 7, 2016)

Clearly what's good for one person is good for another or what's good for one is good for all. Isn't that only fair? Devoid of double standards? Not being a hypocrite? Using normal reason?

Shouldn't Hillary face the same kind of sanctions as others, or shouldn't others be "off the hook" like she is? Scot-free? Back in the saddle? Back in the Marine Corps with full benefits and no penalties or consequences?

From the Nov 30, 2015 Washington Post: "The case grabbed attention in Congress and among highly decorated senior officers in the military, some of whom advocated on Brezler’s behalf to let him stay in the Marines. Other service officials maintained that retired Gen. James F. Amos, the Marine Corps’ top officer when the investigation began, and other generals involved handled the case well.

“We will now proceed to a real court and prove that Commandant Amos and his generals illegally retaliated against Major Brezler because they were more concerned with politics and their careers than the lives of their Marines and the service of a good Marine who did the right thing,” Bowe said in an e-mailed statement. “I look forward to their cross-examination.”

The decision comes as a related lawsuit filed by the family of one of the Marines killed remains pending against the service in federal court. It alleges that the service ignored Brezler’s warning that the police chief, Sarwar Jan, was corrupt and sexually abusing children, allowing for the Aug. 10, 2012, ambush in which Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley, 21; Staff Sgt. Scott Dickinson, 29; and Cpl. Richard Rivera Jr., 20; were killed at Forward Operating Delhi, a Marine Corps outpost in Helmand province’s Garmsir district. A fourth Marine sustained five gunshot wounds but survived."

Jason Brezler, currently a member of the NYC Fire Department, graduated from the Naval Academy in 2000 and went directly into the military. POTUS Arrogance vs Service to Others
The final decision to force Maj. Brezler out of the military was made by Obama appointed Assistant Navy Secretary Juan M. Garcia.

  1. Liberal hypocrisy is redundant. They are all like the pigs on animal farm -- some are more equal than others and Hillary and Obama are the most equal of all. Angry doesn't begin to describe my reaction.

  2. It is important to remember that military Officers do not take an oath to obey their superior officers. Nor do they take an oath to protect and defend the President of the United States. They do not fight and die for the sake of any particular political regime. They do not serve the personal whims of Generals or Presidents.

What they do; what it is crucial for civilians to understand that they do; why the Officer Corps and indeed the Military as an institution is so crucial to our national strength and survival, is take an Oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. They fight and die for that.

America is a Constitutional Republic. It is the structure of "who" we are; it is our body. The Declaration of Independence is "why" we are; it is our soul. We are nothing if we lose our Constitution. Officers defend it and it alone, and obey orders of lawful superiors ONLY to the extent that those orders are congruent with the Constitution of the U.S.

Notice, too, in the following Oath, that Officers swear to defend our Constitution. Against enemies not JUST foreign, but ALSO domestic.

I have followed this story for some time. This man is a hero. Those who punish him should be ashamed. Like all true heroes he stands firm and takes his consequences regardless of cost for the sake of honor and Truth. Like all true cowards, his persecutors reap the benefits and rewards of swimmng along with the evil tide of the day, caring only about personal gain and position and reward.

    The Oath of an Officer:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God."
